Norwegian art from the 1980s is much more than large canvases.
Norwegian art from the 1980s is much more than large canvases painted with hefty, energetic brushstrokes – so-called Neo-expressionism. The decade was also marked by artists who explored form, both analytically and through creative processes. It was the decade when video gained a foothold and photography was seriously accepted as an art form.
This exhibition will travel to Sørlandet’s Art Museum, Haugar Vestfold Art Museum and Trondheim Art Museum.
