Tom Sandberg's beautiful photographs surround three of Ole Bull's violins.
Ole Bull was obsessed with violins and owned more than forty during his career. This exhibition shows three of these instruments.
One of the violins is made by Ole Bull himself, in the master violinmaker Vuillaume´s own workshop. Another is called the Mona Lisa amongst violins´; a Gasparo da Saló-violin from 1562, with a beautiful Putti head attributed to the artist Benvenuto Celini.
The Norwegian artist Tom Sandberg`s black and white photos are a personal interpretation of master instruments. Sanberg is a renowned artist and has received good reviews for the exhibition.
Also on display is the documentary movie "Ole Bull - Himmelstormeren" by Aslak Aarhus from 2006, with the master violinist Henning Kraggerud as Ole Bull.
